...to never say "in the upcoming weeks I will" or something like that. Because whenever I do, my health goes "nope!", or I'll have other things that need to happen first... Of course it doesn't help when you discover Tumblr, either XD;;

So, updates! My health is actually starting to slowly get better That means going to places can be done without a wheelchair, and taking care of all the chores around the house is also a lot easier. I found that creating little clever storage solutions is quite the hobby of mine, so it's what I'm doing most of the time these days. That and playing Guild Wars 2 and Tokyo Jungle >w>

I'm scanning some old drawings right now, so I'll ~probably~ have some 'new' updates soon. Once I'll have some more on my art Tumblr, I'll link to that. I...am so not gonna link to my general Tumblr because it's quite NSFW XD Although if you want to find me, it's not that hard to guess the URL I am so original.

My Etsy is gonna have to wait until some personal things - like health - have changed. Maybe I'll post some more jewelry on here for you to look at, and maybe buy. We'll see.

Also, forgive me for not commenting on anything at all these past... months? Year? It's been quite a while, hasn't it. I do still love you all, I just haven't really felt like bothering with dA. Might change, I'll keep you updated ♥

So! My lovely Sander and I have moved in together, and after about half a year since we signed the contract, we're almost done with the apartment. With him working full-time and me ill, we don't have as much time for it as we wish we had, so it's going slow - luckily, it's also going steady! With Ikea not too far away (and the car of Sander's parents), it's quite fun to come up with clever ways to store all that we have. Which is, to be fair, quite a lot for such a small apartment. Thank god for Swedes and their love for affordable storage solutions! We have a Tumblr where you can follow our progress, but since we've been kind of neglecting that, I'll link to it when we've uploaded the last, uhm, months

In other news, I've re-organised my closet, and with it comes new clothes! I figured it was about time I traded things I never wear for things I've been wanting to wear for about two years now. I've found that Bodyline(.co.jp) doesn't only have pretty clothes - they're cheap and well-made, too! Combined with some items I already owned, and a few pieces from the local thrift store, I have a wardrobe that's ready for adventure
If the photos that we'll be taking soon turn out nice, I'll post them somewhere for everyone to see. After all, the internet could use some more casual lolita ♥

Not that much news on the art front, apart from my Etsy store that will be live in the upcoming weeks~ 8D I'll be selling handmade jewellery and accessories, and I will of course post a linkie when it's ready.
I'm also slooowly working on my drawing skills, with the help of a brilliant new book that I have. Its focus lies on creating characters, including clothes and things like that, and from all the art books I've used, this is by far the best one. Not only is it practical, and really well drawn (comparing it to some other books I have is like comparing Pokémon and, say, Avatar. With the Asians, not the Aliens >.>), the overall style and designs are really inspirational. I actually managed to draw Rii with muscles! It's great to be able to finally show that he has indeed a lot of muscles. 20 years of martial arts training does that to ya

If everything goes according to plan, I'll have some new things to upload here in the next few weeks, so see you all then!

My boyfriend, Sander, and me are finally moving in together! We found a place barely in the province of Utrecht, rather close to where he works, and it's simply lovely It's a two room apartment on the first floor of a converted barn. We have a kitchen with enough room for a dining table (and a free round table from the previous owner - score!) and a large living/bedroom. With all the stuff we have (mostly books and games) it's gonna be quite a fun challenge to create enough places to store everything, but luckily the internet (and with that I mean Pinterest) gave me brilliant ideas for cheap and clever storage spaces. And since we're both major geeks we're gonna add a lot of nerdy touches to things over time. I will of course take pictures of the progress and find some place on the 'net to put them so you lot can see it too.

On a side note; I got and found a lot of DIY ideas during this holiday (that I'm still on)! When we've settled in and I've gotten my own little craft place I'm planning on learning how to make a lot of new things, and hopefully make a little money as well. I'll lose my welfare (the European one - not the American/Canadian one as according to Wiki it has a slightly different meaning) when I move, so we could use a little extra income - if only to allow me to support my crafts!
Also, I've begun to flesh out Rii's world and I'm thinking about opening a Formspring for him so you can ask him (or me) anything you want. Would anyone be interested? There are hardly any questions you won't get an answer to as he isn't ashamed of much and I'm not planning on keeping things to myself in order to have an interesting plot whenever I get around to make something story-driven with him. Those plots will have more to do with things that haven't happened to him yet :3
Also-also: Twin Peaks freaking ROCKS <3 After we've played Deadly Premonition, Sander and me just had to see what inspired that brilliant game. Now we know. Now we know

Heh, I just realised that I don't really call myself Iroke anymore, just Rii... I suppose that's what one gets when most of their friends only use that one (nick)name. Well, it's a nice name, so I don't mind! I just hope nobody gets confused between me and my OC (I think some people already kinda see me as OC-Rii anyway, though )

Also, good news! I'm slowly but steadily getting better, and that means that I'm gonna try a management course (eeee!!)! It also means that I'm gonna give LARP another try, and this time with a more kickass character. Now all I need are some good bracers and/or shoulder pieces, and a good utility belt. Especially the belt will be used a LOT, since I realised I hardly make (LARP) characters without them...
In other news, my boyfriend and I are still trying to find a nice apartment together, but it's a bloody long journey... We've been looking for years now, you'd think we'd have something by now! x.x

PS: John Barrowman is brilliant, and the writers of Doctor Who need to get out of my brain (or pay me 8D)

I also tried to draw something alse with the help of a manga drawing book that I have, but I've never been so frustrated with a drawing before x.x It doens't look very good, and I spend over an hour getting the basis right... I don't know who made up the technique they use, but I find it bloody annoying, and highly unnecessary. Hopefully I'll get a better one for my birthday :3
